Virginia “Sissy” Gaskill

Augusta, GA – Virginia “Sissy” Cathleen Gaskill went home to be with our Heavenly Father Tuesday November 29,2017.

A private graveside service was held in Westiview Cemetery on December 1, 2017

She is proceeded in final resting by her husband Luther H. Gaskill Jr., her parents James E. and Virginia Howell, and her sister Barbara Baxley.

She is patiently awaiting the arrival of her children Luther H. Gaskill III (Susan), Tricia Hensley (Chris); her grandchildren whom she held dearly in her heart Maranda, Ashtyn, Brandon, and Taryn; as well as her new great grandson Waylon; Her siblings include, James Howell Jr, Pat Williams, Robin Diaz, and Mickey Bentley (Greg); her nieces and nephews Sonny Bergum, Tony Kitchens, Johnny McDonald, Lisa Miller, Stephanie McNair, Tabitha Garbart, and Alan Bentley; along with many great nieces and nephews.

Sissy will be remembered for her extreme love of family, her beautiful smile, and the ever loving warmth that she embraced everyone with. She had a deep interest in Native American culture and was a true western film fan. She attended many Native American and western festivals. She was a talented florist most of her life and admired God’s natural works of art, not only in flowers, but even the simplest of stones.

Sissy continually shared her love for the Lord and attended Warren Baptist Church.

Our hearts will ache for her worldly presence, however our spirits rejoice for her Homecoming with Christ.
