Virginia, a native of Augusta, was the daughter of the late George and Mary Adelaide Dukes Cunningham, Sr. She had been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and most recently she was a communicant of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Early in her career she had been a hairdresser but her love was to cook which she did for her family and as Assistant Manager at Wife Saver. She had a servant’s heart and cared very deeply for her family. Her home was the center of her family and where she enjoyed watching the broadcast of Trinity on the Hill’s Sunday services.
Survivors include her son, Jack DiLascia; her daughters Linda DiLascia, and Maria Carpenter (husband Marc); her son-in-law, Dennis Strellner; and her beloved grandchildren, Tiffney and Christina Strellner, Bradleigh Carpenter Perkinson (husband Zack).
The family requests that, if desired, memorials be made to Trinity on the Hill Methodist Church, 1330 Monte Sano, Augusta, GA 30904.
