Virginia B. “Ginger” Yount
Augusta, GA – Virginia B. “Ginger” Yount, 68, beloved wife of the late Jerry Paul Yount, entered into rest on Monday, October 25, 2021, at University Hospital.
A graveside service will be held from Hillcrest Memorial Park, on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 3:00 P.M., with Pastor Wesley Weatherford officiating. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the grave. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Terry, Jared, Travis, Hunter, Davis Brantley, and son-in-law, Jeff Nicoli, RET MSG US Air Force.
Born at Camp Godron on Febraury 14, 1953, and a lifelong resident of the Augusta area, Mrs. Yount was the daughter of the late Ozie and Elsie Ann Willige Brantley. Ginger as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, was a graduate of Butler High School, had worked for the Richmond County Board of Education and was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Her brother, Lee Brantley, followed her to heaven on October 28, 2021.
Survivors include her children, Christopher Yount of North Augusta, Alesia Yount Nicoli and her husband Jeff, RET MSG US Air Force, of New Bern, NC, Ashlee Yount Roquemore and her husband Trace, RET SFC US Army, of Cameron, NC; brother, Mell Brantley of Hephzibah, GA; her nine grandchildren, Jordon Nicoli, Tyler Nicoli, Lauren Roquemore, Abby Dixon, Haleigh Yount, Natalie Yount, Maggie Roquemore, Conner Roquemore and Owen Roquemore.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
