Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Tim Pendrey officiating.
Mrs. Houck, daughter of the late Roger and Gladys Bradshaw Anchors, retired from teaching at Tubman High School. She graduated from Tubman and from Mercer University and was a member of Phi Mu sorority. She was past President of the CSRA Women’s Golf League and won the Georgia State Women’s Golf League tournament.
She is survived by her sons Thomas Paul Houck (Jeannie Hightower), of Lincolnton, and Warren Perry Houck, Sr. (Susan), of Martinez; her sister, Betty Dittmer, of Lincolnton; her grandchildren, Patricia Moon (Mitch), Ann Marie Houck, Warren P. Houck, Jr., Erica Lynn Chaney (Stephen), Amanda Catherine Reynolds (Cal), Jackson Perry Houck (Alayna), Samantha Lee Houck, and Carly Elaine Houck; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association – Georgia Chapter, 1899 Central Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904; or to First Tee of Augusta, 3165 Damascus Rd, Augusta, GA 30909.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home

Sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. I remember your parents very well having grown up on Lakewood Drive. I would have given anything to have played golf with your mom..WOW !!!
