Tyson R. Zornes

Blythe, GA – Tyson R. Zornes, 64,  husband of Amanda Kohler Zornes, entered into rest Monday, May 26, 2014 at his residence.

 

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 30, 2014 at 4:30 PM from Martins Crossroads Church. Full military honors will be accorded by the Army ceremonial detachment. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church.

 

Mr. Zornes was a native of Ohio, and son of the late Sarah and Eugen Zornes. He was a retired SFC from the US Army, having served his country for over 21 years, including service in Vietnam. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, dirt track racing and all sports and had been an avid motorcyclist. His favorite saying was “fire in the hole and rock and roll”, he loved his Ohio State Buckeyes and FOX News. He had attended Martins Crossroads Church and was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.

 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Shea.

 

Other survivors include his children, Sueann and Standard Pulley, David Zornes and Tracy and David Cowart; his siblings, John Shea and Dana Zornes; his grandchildren, Richard Zornes, Dillon Shoopman and Bryson Cowart; and a special niece, Dena Shea; and close friends of the family,  Monika and Martin Richter. George and Monika Nicholas .

 

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to offset the cost of the funeral service.
