Troy Collins

Augusta, GA  – Troy Collins, 60, husband of Carol Ann Collins, entered into rest Friday, February 11, 2022, at University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Pastor Wayne Todd and Pastor David Jones officiating.

Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Collins, son of Bennie Collins and the late Sarah Vivian Cox Collins, was born in Augusta, GA. He was a millwright with Local Union #1263 and was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children, Curtis Collins (Victoria), Michelle Waters (Russell), Kyle Campbell (Jodi), and Austin Campbell (Shelby); his grandchildren, Courtney Waters, Ansley Waters, Tucker Collins, Avonlea Collins, Elijah Campbell, Jackson Campbell; his father, Bennie Collins.

Pallbearers will be Pierce Flanders, Pete Beck, Larry Lariscey, Craig Dozier, Craig Wilson, and Russell Waters.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Beginnings Baptist Church, PO Box 9302, Augusta, GA 30916, or to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

  7. My condolences to Mr. Benny and Troys family. I have great memories of growing up together and skiing like wild people at the Boating Club of Augusta. I actually broke my toe as a kid trying to kick Troy at the club. Fun memories.
