SGM Clyde Brown Jackson (US Army Retired)

Hephzibah, GA – Clyde Brown Jackson, 74, husband of 52 years to Ellen Julie Jackson, entered into rest Wednesday, November 29, 2017.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the Jackson residence.

Mr. Jackson, son of the late William and Adae Doss Jackson, was born December 7, 1942, in Renich, West Virginia, as one of nine siblings. In 1961 he enlisted in the United States Army where he served for 30 years. He retired as a Sergeant Major from Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was also stationed in Germany, where he met Ellen Julie Reichert, whom he married in 1965.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Richard Jackson, Michelle Kimberly Jackson Miller, Trisha Jackson Bell, Robert Reichert, and Deborah Reichert; his sister, Bonnie Black; two brothers; eleven grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.

Clyde loved his family, his home, and his special dog, ChiChi. He will be deeply missed by his family. They would like to offer special thanks to all of the family, friends, and caregivers during this difficult time.

  1. Uncle Clyde was a very loving Uncle. I enjoyed getting his phone calls. Wished we would have loved closer to visit more. So sorry for you loss Aunt Ellen, Richard, Robert,Michelle, Trisha, and Deborah! I know he will be missed! Love and prayers, Patricia
