SFC, Paul A. Haight, US ARMY Retired

Augusta, GA – SFC Paul A. Haight, U.S. Army Retired, 80, husband of the late Hyang U. Haight, entered into rest on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Charlie Norwood, VA Medical Center.

SFC Haight was a disabled twenty one year veteran of the U.S. Army, having served three tours in Vietnam. Following his active service Mr. Haight retired and worked for the Department of Defense at Fort Gordon in the Mapping Agency. He was a member of the VFW, Post # 649 and of the American Legion, Post # 205. He was very active in his community and was a strong supporter of and instrumental in the construction of the Richmond County Library at Diamond Lakes. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Paul Jesse Haight and his wife Jamie; his sister, Mary Shunk; his grandchildren Erin Webber and Cassidy Haight; and his great grandchildren, Rylan and Clare Webber.

At his request no funeral services are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, 1101 15th St., Augusta, GA, 30901.
