Robert Wayne DeLoach

Augusta, GA – Robert Wayne DeLoach, 69, entered into rest Monday, August 24, 2015, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 30, 2015, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Dr. Timothy Pendrey officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. DeLoach, son of the late Robert Wilton DeLoach and Jewell Lewis DeLoach Sweat, was born in Waynesboro, GA, and retired as a carpenter with Carpenters & Millwrights Local Union #283. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, and was a member of American Legion Post #205. He was also a member of the Augusta Gem and Mineral Society.

He is survived by his stepfather, Carl Sweat, Jr, of Augusta; his brothers, William M. DeLoach, of Augusta, Charles Barry DeLoach, of Augusta, Carl Sweat, III, of Roswell, GA, and John Sweat, of Greenville, SC; his sister, Bonnie Pitchford, of Hephzibah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be William M. DeLoach, Charles Barry DeLoach, Carl Sweat, III, John Sweat, Will DeLoach, Jr, Jared DeLoach, Brett DeLoach, Carl Sweat, IV, and Joshua Sweat.

  1. In the 70s worked with Wayne, always fun & full of life. Sorry to here of his passing. He was a great guy. Back then we all new him as fuzz.
