Robert E. Coash

Augusta, GA – Robert E. Coash, 91, husband of the late Allene Samples Coash, entered into rest Thursday, October 15, 2020, at home surrounded by his family.

Graveside services will be held Monday, October 19, 2020, at 2:00 PM from Hillcrest Memorial Park, with Pastor Kevin Jones officiating.

Mr. Coash, son of the late Eddie R. Coash and Pearl Coash, was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He retired a 20 year veteran of the United States Army, and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Fleming Masonic Lodge #718 for 50 years, and of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.  He worked in Civil Service at Dwight D. Eisenhower Medical Center for 21 years on the orthopedic floor before retiring.  He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church, and was a avid sculptor and wood-worker.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Beverly Coash, Jerry Coash, and Janet Gregorson.

He is survived by his children, Sandra C. Coshatt (Billy), Jeanie C. Rogers (Pat), and Janice C. Whitaker (Larry); his grandchildren, Robert G. Coshatt (Amanda), Kevin Lee Cruise, and Paul Rogers (Melissa); his great grandchildren, Ashley Saxon (Kevin), Joshua Rogers (Leslie), and Amber Coshatt; his great great grandchildren, Raylynne Saxon, Trevor Saxon, and Bentley Rogers; several nieces and nephews; a special family friend, Jackie Hart; and his fur-baby, Smokey.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 18, 2020, from 1:00 until 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Please observe recommended social distancing protocols.
