Robert “Bob” Moore

Augusta, GA – Mr. Robert Thomas Moore, 85, husband of Anita R. Moore entered into rest on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 2:00 P.M., in Fleming Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Atkins and Reverend William T. Hammond officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be, Joshua Robinson, James Ray, Lamar Ray, Dan Moore, Parker Hall and Trevor Neighbors.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Martin Cave Sunday School Class and the Augusta Baptist Disaster Response Team.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his brothers James C. and Howard W. Moore.

Other survivors include his two daughters, Penny Murphy and Bobbie Hall and her husband Emmett all of Augusta; sister, Lillian Ray of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Ahnashawn Sieveke and her husband Mickey, Paige Hall and Parker Hall; great-grandchildren, Xyzik Justin and Kaylla Sieveke; sister-in-law, Janis Neighbors and her husband Bill; brother-in-law Jerry Robinson and his wife Nancy.

Mr. Moore was born in Doerun, GA to the late James and Clara Driskell Moore. He served in the US Navy during WWII and retired from the Civil Service at Fort Gordon as an Instructor and Supervisor in the Signal School . He was a member of Fleming Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a member of the Martin Cave Sunday School Class and the Augusta Baptist Disaster Response Team.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
