Mr. Sheppard was born in Augusta and was a painter with the Richmond County Board of Education. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Additional survivors include his daughters, Christy Sheppard (Heather), and April Sheppard (Andrew Barr); his son Richard C. Sheppard; granddaughters, Halley Taylor and Alexis Pasley; grandsons, Jackson Sheppard and Carson Sheppard; and many other cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
