Richard “R.S.’ Auldridge

Blythe, GA – Richard “R.S.’ Auldridge, 93, husband of Anne Partridge Auldridge, entered into rest Monday, January 2, 2017, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017, at 2:00 PM from Blythe United Methodist Church with Reverend Jerry Cole and Reverend Thurman Norville officiating.

Mr. Auldridge, son of Richard Sisson Auldridge and Sybol Orander Auldridge Temples, was a native of Richmond County, and a lifelong farmer. He was a member of Blythe United Methodist Church and had previously been a member of Blythe Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon and Treasurer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather, S.C. Temples, of whom he was very fond, his brother, Raymond A. Auldridge, and his son, Richard Sisson Auldridge, III.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Frederica S. Auldridge, of CA; his daughter, CharAnne Powell (J.B.), of Blythe; his sons, Russell Auldridge (Donna), of Jesup, GA, and Robin Auldridge (Debbie), of Blythe; his grandchildren, Jayme and Wilson Powell, R.J. and Andrew Auldridge, and LeeAnne Auldridge Strickland; and three great grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Bullock, Harvey Hayes, Oliver Russell, Frank Ciccio, Donald Wilbur, Gary Dozier, and William L. Dozier.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of the Trinity Hospice Care Group, his personal caregivers, Diane, Alice, Christine, Abbie, and Cecelia (CC), and the doctors and nurses of Augusta University Medical Center for their care.

The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of the Church, Thursday, January 5, 2017, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
