Richard Elton Watts
Augusta, GA – Richard Elton Watts, 75, beloved husband of Mrs. Beverly “Billy” Watts, entered into rest on September 20, 2020, at his home.
The family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
A native of Silverton, OR, Mr. Watts was the son of the late Elton and Clare Collard Watts. He was a retired Captain from the U.S. Air Force and had worked in the Aerospace Industry following his military career. He and Mrs. Watts moved to Augusta in 2014 to be closer to family. Mr. Watts enjoyed bowling and was a member of a local bowling association and served as the
General Manager of the Augusta Bowling Association. In Colorado Springs he was the President of the U.S.B.C. and was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame.
Mr. Watts was preceded in death by his sons, Eric Michael Watts and Kyle Montgomery Watts.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter-in-law, Pamela Watts; his brother, Harold Watts; his Seven grandchildren, Anthony, Andriya, Nicole, Richard, Stephen, Cheyenne and Rhiannon; a step-grandson, William; his six great grandchildren, Kali, Kameron, Kyler, Chloe, Orion and Sky; and a step-great grandson, Kincayd.
