Phyllis Bowen Autry

Grovetown, GA – Phyllis Bowen Autry, 54, wife of Paul Autry, of Old Louisville Road, entered into rest Saturday, November 20, 2010, from the result of an auto accident.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at 1:00 P.M. from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Billy Turner officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Autry was born at Fort Gordon Hospital and  was a homemaker. She had served in the US Navy.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Julian & Mertie Lee James, and William F. & Bertha Mae Bowen.

Additional survivors include her parents, Elmer and Doris James Bowen, of Augusta; her daughters, Cheri Bowen Anderson and her husband, Zach, of Augusta, Michele Arroyo of Washington, and Lauren Lee of San Antonio, Texas; her grandchildren, Keith Doss, Trey Doss, Lane Anderson and Luke Anderson; her sister, Michele Bowen Simonsen and her husband David, of Tallahassee, FL, and several aunts and uncles.

Friends may call at the residence of Julie James Wertz, 2547 Grier Circle, Evans, Georgia.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

At this time when an unforeseen occurrence has befallen you and the enemy death strikes may you gain comfort from the wonderful hope the Bible holds out to us at John 5:28, 29 “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out…”
