Phil Brown

Augusta, GA – Phil Brown, 61, husband of Jan Brown, went home to be with Jesus on January 23, 2022, at his residence in Augusta, GA.

Celebration of Life services will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 6:00 PM, from the Chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors.

Mr. Brown, son of the late Christine Richardson Brown and the late Ithel Thomas Brown, was born in Georgetown, SC. He was an electrician and owner/operator of Brown Electric.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Curt and Sandy Mixon; his grandchildren, Evan Mixon and Joselyn Mixon; his sisters Diane Lovell (Fred) and Cindy Pritchard; his sister-in-law, Debbie Brown; his brother-in-law, Alan Thompson (Mary); his many nieces and nephews; his in-laws, Albert and Annah Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, he would want everyone to be shouting, “JESUS IS LORD!”

You are welcome to The Mixons’ home, 606 Victoria Drive, North Augusta, SC, immediately after service to continue his life celebration with the family.

  1. Phil was a great man. My husband and myself used him as our electrician He had a beautiful family that lived him dearly. God bless each one of you. Jan God will walk you through this He will never leave you. We know Phil is rejoicing in heaven and watching over you and rest of family. Love y’all very much my heart is heavy with you

  6. I regret that I did not personally know Phil. I did meet Jan, however, at the mayors prayer breakfast and found her to be a very holy and Spirit filled woman. Phil must have been a great husband and spiritual leader of his family. The fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree. May the Lord bless Jan and Phil’s family with grace, peace and an eternal hope of the resurrection.
