Peggy Carroll Jordan

Hephzibah, GA – Peggy Carroll Jordan , 52, wife of Scott Jordan, entered into rest, Friday, June 27, 2014, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 11:00 A.M., from the Hephzibah Baptist Church, with the Reverend Dan McGill officiating. Mrs. Jordan will lie in state at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service. Interment will follow in the Hephzibah-Vance Cemetery.

Mrs. Jordan was a lifelong resident of the Hephzibah area and the daughter of the late William Jesse Carroll, Sr. and Marion Ruth Carroll-Pair. Peggy was a Deputy Clerk for the Richmond County Superior Court where she loved her job and was very dedicated. She was a caring and giving person who would help anyone and her family was her life. She loved her grandchildren, flowers and gardening and was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her step-son, Randall Jordan; and her sister, Donna Harison.

In addition to her husband Mrs. Jordan is survived by her step-son, Joey Jordan; her sisters, Sissi Dozier (Charles), and Lucille Page (Jimmy); her sister-in-law, Deanna Carroll; her grandchildren, Taylor Paige Jordan, Joseph “JoJo” Jordan and Alyssa “Princess” Jordan; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Zahner, Steven Zahner, Bo Johnson, Charles Kitchens, Brisco Johnson and Nic Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Richmond County Superior Court.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Mrs. Dozier.
