Augusta, GA – Ronald Jack Hinds, 81, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, with his loving wife at his side. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 11 o’clock with Reverend Dr. Bob Hoeller officiating. Military Honors will be rendered at the Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10 o’clock to the hour of the service, at the Funeral Home. Born in Ventura County, California, on March 21, 1944, Ronald was the son of the late Billy Jack Hinds and the late Kathleen Wright Harless. Raised by his maternal grandparents, Hiram and Eppie Oglesby Wright, in eastern Texas, he carried their values of hard work and integrity throughout his life. Ronald dedicated his life to service and his community. He joined the United States Army in the 1960’s serving honorably for 20 years. After retiring from active duty, he continued his commitment to service by working for the U.S. Postal Service in Augusta for 25 years until his retirement in 2009. In 1966, Ronald met the love of his life, Cynthia “Cindy” Elizabeth Eyler, while stationed at the Fort Detrick, Maryland. Their bond quickly grew, and they were married in 1967, sharing a lifetime of love, laughter, and devotion. In addition to his parents and maternal grandparents, Ronald is preceded in death by his son, Kyle Hinds, and his paternal grandparents, Walter and Dovie McAlpine Hinds. Ronald is survived by his wife, Cindy; his sons, Kevin Hinds, Kent (Annie), and Kalon (Julian) Hinds; his daughter, Kristal (Chuck) Singletary; grandchildren, Brett Hinds, DeAnne (Lou) Billingsley-Alban, Jennifer Hinds, Justin Hinds, Kayla Hinds, and Jordan Hinds; and serval great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; he is also survived by his half brother, Ronnie Hinds, and his half sister, Roma Harless. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support received during this difficult time, especially from those at Sodalis Senior Living and Enhabit Home Health & Hospice.
