Augusta, Georgia - Cheryl B. Moxley, 76, of Augusta, Georgia, entered into rest Sunday, January 3, 2021, at University Hospital ICU. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906. For those unable to attend, graveside services will be streamed live and can be viewed via browser at https://www.facebook.com/pg/chanceandhydrick/videos/?ref=page_internal. Pastor Steve Pittman, the Reverend Harold Jones, and the Reverend Julian Robinson will be officiating. Mrs. Moxley, daughter of the late Earl R. Barton and Catherine Sease Barton, was born in Charleston, South Carolina but resided in Augusta, Georgia for most of her life. Mrs. Moxley retired from Bellsouth/AT&T and was co-owner of Moxley Aluminum, Inc. She was a member of New Horizon Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband (the love of her life), George E. Moxley, Sr., her older brother Craig L. Barton and younger sister Connie Earlene Barton. She is survived by her sister Charlotte Avant, her son George E. (Jenny) Moxley, Jr. of Martinez, Ga., her daughters Sherry (Steve) Moxley Seaman of Biloxi, Miss., Kim (Jim) Moxley Smith of North Augusta, S.C., her grandchildren Nickie Cagle, Ashley Moxley, Hunter Moxley, Jonathan Moxley, Trey Becton, her five great grandchildren, many special nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Pallbearers will be Todd Sullivan, Steve Jones, Bernard Hinson, Rusty Arrington, Dallas Copeland and William Miles. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Horizon Church, P.O. Box 6140, Augusta, Georgia 30916. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, 2502 Richmond Hill Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906, Friday - one to 5 pm or Saturday - 10 am to 11:30.
