Mrs. Sarah Agnes Whisnant Roberts

Hephzibah, GA —Mrs. Sarah Agnes Whisnant Roberts, 82, widow of the late Kenneth H. Roberts, passed away peacefully in her bed at home on February 11, 2021, in the company of her daughter Sharon and son-in-law Carl Eubanks.
She was born on September 9, 1938, in Augusta, GA to the late Hubert M. Whisnant and Mattie Lee Nichols Whisnant.  Sarah received her education from Hephzibah schools.  At an early age, Sarah worked in the cotton mills of Augusta supporting her father and mother’s home and then her own.  Later, she worked as an xray technician for Brown Radiology. 
Sarah lived strong in her Christian faith and always shared her love of the LORD Jesus. She devoted her faithful energy to Solomon’s Porch, Augusta, GA, and in turn, the congregation called her Church Mother.  Sarah had a special gift for singing and playing the harmonica in the choir. Her ministry outside of church included the Falcon Children’s Home, Falcon, NC and the Paralyzed Veterans Association of America.
Sarah was called Sister by 8 siblings, Mother by 4 children, and Nana BoBo by 12 grandchildren and great grandchildren. 
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Lawrence, Mary, Virginia, Carolyn, and Barbara.
Survivors include her siblings Hatty, Julius, Ruby; her children: Kenneth N. (Barbara), Joseph (Rosie), Sharon Eubanks (Carl), and Daniel (Donna); grandchildren Sarah Stanley (Tom), Jessica and Wesley Roberts, Tyson (Areyl) and Austin Eubanks, Aaron Roberts; 6 great grandchildren; 3 fur babies.  She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
