Mildred C. Parker

Augusta, GA – Mildred C. Parker, 80, wife of the late Millard Parker, entered into rest Sunday, January 19, 2014, at GRU Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Pastor Brian Fields officiating.

Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Mrs. Parker, daughter of the late Norman and Dessie Lee Burke Clark, was a native of Perkins, GA. She retired from Enterprise Mill as a Spinner. She was a member of Grace Fellowship and taught Bible Study at Golden Living Nursing Home.

She is survived by her son, Larry M. Parker and his wife, Debbie, of Martinez; her daughters, Patsy P. Moore, of Thomson, and Sandra Baker, of Augusta; her brothers, Joseph Clark, and Grady Clark, both of Millen; her grandchildren, Rebecca Smith, Tammy Crawford, Jessica Moon, Michele Johnson, Lisa Clem, and Courtney Ellyson; thirteen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Drew Ellyson, Caleb Ellyson, Bill Clem, Mitchell Moon, Ivan Crawford, and Eugene Clark.

If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Grace Fellowship, 1725 Sibley Rd, Augusta, GA 30909.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 21, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

  1. Aunt Mildred was always a kind and loving person and a great example of Christian goodness. Our sincere condolences to the family. We will be thinking of everyone as you remember your Mom.

  2. Both Mrs. Parker and her late husband were our neighbors on Sibley Rd. in Augusta for decades. They were kind and caring people and great friends. Always loved talking to them… God Bless the Family they leave behind. Hugh and Frances Terrell, Evans, Ga.

  3. I did not know your mom or grandmother. I am sending my prayers for you children and grand children that loved her so much. My prayers will continue to go up for your sorrow. She was a good Christian lady and I know she is in a better place now free from any pain. God bless all of you.

  4. I have wonderful memories of Mildred when we both attended Southside Baptist Church and Glenn Hills Baptist Church. She was a wonderful example of a follower of Jesus Christ. My prayers are with the entire Family. As well as sympathy.
