Michael W. Rodgers

Augusta, GA – Michael W. Rodgers, 58, husband of 22 years to Susan Teasley Rodgers, of Virginia Ave, entered into rest June 28, 2010, at the residence.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 30, at 3:00 pm from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Pastor Alvin Jones officiating.
Mr. Rodgers was born in Munich, Germany to the late Russell and Mary Theiss Rodgers. He lived in Augusta for most of his life. He worked as an Exhibit Designer for the Signal Museum at Fort Gordon for 23 years. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era and was a member of the VFW.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Joshua and Russell, brother, P.J. Rodgers, of Evans; sister, Susie Murphey, of Brooksville, FL; niece, Kim Brown, and nephew, Kris Rodgers.
The family will receive friends following the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

  1. Mike helped me research a book 4 years ago when he worked at the Signal Corps Museum. Some of what he shared with me made it into a history magazine this past winter. My thoughts and prayers go to his family. I’ll always be grateful to him, and will never forget him.
