Mary Dozier Williams

Blythe, GA – Mrs. Mary Dozier Williams, 97, wife of the late John Horace Williams, entered into rest Friday, December 7, 2012.
Funeral services will be held from the Blythe United Methodist Church Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Thurman Norville officiating. Interment will follow in Blythe United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service time.
Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late William Walter and Eva Jean Carswell Beall, and a native of Wrens, GA, but had made Blythe her home for most of her life. She was a retired clerk at Turner’s Store and active in the Blythe Elementary PTA. She was a member of the Blythe United Methodist Church where she played the piano for over fifty years, taught Sunday School, was a member of the WMU and of the Administrative Board. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Robert E. Dozier, Sr., as well as her son Robert E. Dozier, Jr.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, William L. and Joan Dozier of Blythe, Charles L. and Sissi Dozier of Hephzibah, John Gary and Kim Dozier of Blythe; a step son, Lindy Williams of Martinez; eighteen grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lois Parrish and the staff of Keysville Nursing & Rehab Center.

The family will receive friends this Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
