Marvin T. Ashley, Jr.

Augusta, GA – Marvin T. Ashley, Jr., entered into rest Sunday, September 30, 2018 at his residence.
Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be held Friday, October 5, 2018, at 1:00 PM from Bellevue Memorial Gardens, with Reverend John Kilpatrick officiating.
Mr. Ashley, son of the late Marvin Thomas Ashley, Sr, and Katie Mae Etterle Ashley, was born in Augusta.
He was a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force and United States Navy serving in both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired from Civil Service at Fort Gordon, and owned Floor Covering Unlimited. He was a member of Powell Baptist Church. He made Z-Line Fishing Lures and participated in Bass Masters Tournaments.
He is survived by his children, Pamela A. Evans, of Harlem, Kim Kostromin, of Martinez, and Galen “Ty” Ashley, of Wrens; his grandchildren, Jessica Junkins, T.J. Evans, Tyler Ashley, and Nicholas Kostromin; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Blake, Mason, Trey, Brianna, and Ryan; his sister, Ida L. Gordon, of Augusta; his brother, Richard Ashley, of FL; and his nieces, Wanda, Karen, and Sharon.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 5, 2018, from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at the funeral home.
