Martha Chesser Robertson

Augusta- We regret to announce the passing of Martha Chesser Robertson on August 3, 2013. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Born in Atlanta on October 2, 1927, she was raised near Winder and later graduated from Athens Central High School in 1945. During WWII, she worked at the Charleston Naval Base as a guide. After attending business school she worked with the State of Georgia and later IMC Fertilizer. Afterwards, she enjoyed 33 productive and happy years at Georgia Iron Works. During her career, Martha attended, taught Sunday school, and enjoyed the love and fellowship of St. John Methodist Church. We thank them for their patience and instruction.
Martha was pre-deceased by her kind and loving husband, Aaron Robertson. She is survived by her son, William of Augusta, her sister Peggy Windom of Orlando, FL and many members of her extended family.
There will be a private memorial service held in Winder this Saturday.
