Martinez, GA – Mark Christopher “Chris” Swartz, 51, entered into rest Friday, September 26, 2014, at Doctors Hospital.
Graveside services will be held Monday, September 29, 2014, at 4:00 PM from Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Rod Addison officiating.
Family and friends are requested to assemble at the graveside.
Mr. Swartz was a native of Augusta. He worked in Maintenance at SRNS and was a member of Warren Baptist Church. He was the kindest, most devoted and supportive father/son/brother to walk the earth. He was a devout Christian and showed his love for mankind in many ways. If there’s one thing people will remember him for it will be his quick wit and humor. He dedicated his life to his family and was extremely hard working. He enjoyed making lifelong friendships with everyone he met. He was an avid sports fan. Chris was the online casino betting greatest “Paw-Paw” to his Bailey Marie, who was the light of his life, and he was the beloved “Bubba” to his favorite niece, Brooke Faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Maxie Orville Swartz; and his grandparents, William Banks and Nezzie Kirkland Swartz, and Frank and Lillian Sprouse, Sr.
He is survived by his daughters, Kristin Laree Swartz and Megan Elizabeth Swartz, both of Martinez; his mother, Shirley Sprouse Swartz; his sisters, Carrie Elizabeth Bargeron and her husband, Ernie, of Martinez; his brother, Craig Bradford Swartz, of Martinez; his grandchild, Bailey Marie Boatright; his niece, Brooke Faith Bargeron; his nephew, Bradford Joel Swartz; and his beloved pets, CT and Riley.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 28, 2014, from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Please be comforted by Jesus’ promise at John 5:28 & 29, where it reads: “Do not marvel at this, the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” He promises a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous….”and death will be no more” Revelation 21:4 & 5.
