Makenna Erin Arildsen

Evans, GA – Makenna Erin Arildsen, age 12, entered into rest Friday, September 14, 2012 at Georgia Health Sciences Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors with the Reverend Bryan Cockrell officiating.
Makenna was a native of Atlanta, but had lived in Augusta most of her life. She loved horses and wanted to be a news reporter when she grew up. Makenna was a student at Evans Middle School where she played the French Horn in the band. She had attended Genesis Church, The Sanctuary, Victory Baptist in North Augusta and Warren Baptist Churches.
She was preceded in death by her mathernal grandmother, Shirley Hallahan.
She is survived by her father and step-mother, Andy and Shea Arildsen of Evans; her mother, Stephanie Arildsen of Augusta; her sisters, Ashton Arildsen and Regan Arildsen; her step-sister, Hannah Williamson; her paternal grandparents, Diane and Paul Akridge of Augusta and Lyle Arildsen of Buford, GA; her maternal grandfather, Sidney Kirkendohl of Grovetown; her great grandmother, Mary Odom of Augusta; aunts, Catherine Fairman, Jennifer Kirkendohl, and Kim Drake and her husband Travis; uncles, Mike Powell and his wife Kristi, David Powell and his wife Amelia and William Fairman.
Pallbearers will be William Fairman, Todd Kirkendohl, Nathaniel Burden, Robert Rolin, Blaine Lamar and Jonathan Sebold.
Honorary pallbearers will be her bandmates in the Evans Middle School Band.
If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Easter Seals of East Georgia, 1500 Wrightsboro Road, P.O. Box 2441, Augusta, GA 30903.
The family will receive friends Monday, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

  2. this was my cousin makenna erin arildsen and i loved her and her and her sister always went ridding hourses every sunday and now we cant cause she has been hit and killed by a car and i cannot get over this at all no matter wat i do and when i sleep i dream about her and i dont even try to…but thats how it is like god says everything happens for a reason but that shouldnt of happend but thank u all for keeping us in your prays and plz continue to do that cause i just dont know wat to do….I LOVE U MAKENNA…I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU AND I WILL KEEP U IN MY MEMORIES @ ALL TIMES….
