Sylvia Bohler Parker

Augusta, Ga. - Mrs. Sylvia Bohler Parker, 76, beloved wife of 58 years to Donald (Donny) Parker, entered into rest Saturday, July 13, 2024, peacefully in her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Oasis Church at Hephzibah with visitation starting at 12:00 noon. with Pastor Wesley Weatherford and Pastor Chris Lotz officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Chance Hydrick Funeral Directors. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Bohler her mother Ina Mae Johnson Pearson her stepfather James “Bud” Pearson and her brother Jimmy Pearson. She was survived by her husband, one son Randy Parker, one daughter Melinda Parker Aranda (Jimmy) of Charleston, SC and four grandchildren, Alyssa Parker, Pearson Parker, Amelia Aranda and Parker Aranda. Sylvia graduated from Butler High School in 1965 and Augusta Tech in 1968. After years as secretary/administrative assistant in the medical field and a CSR for First Union Bank she left to run the local Tupperware distributorship and then her own jewelry business but was always known as “The Tupperware Lady”. She was a member of Oasis Church at Hephzibah for the last 29 years after 19 years at Sherwood Baptist Church. Sylvia was tirelessly devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, numerous family members and countless friends. She served the Lord in many ways and in her later years on the hospitality committee. She enjoyed her two women’s groups immensely, rejoicing in the spirit of that Lord. She loved her beach trips, supporting her grandchildren in their various activities and was a true feisty “Firecracker” that was an inspiration and witness of a Godly woman to generations of women. After many years and multiple battles with cancer, she was called home as her work here was done. Her recent words were “I did not lose my battle with cancer; I won my battle to Heaven.” The family would like to thank MSA Hospice for comfort care these last few months.
