Beech Island, SC – Susan Ann Lazenby, 72, wife of Willis Lazenby entered into rest on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Piedmont Summerville. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 o’clock with Randy Bogan officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Chance & Hydrick funeral home. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Lazenby, daughter of the late Wallace Webb and the late Geneva Whitehead Webb, was born in Lafayette, GA. She was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker with huge heart for her family. She was married for 54 years and a resident of Beech Island for 28 years with her husband Willis and a member of the Augusta First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. One of her most fond memories from her youth was being a Candy Striper at University Hospital at the age of 16. Susan became a black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 40 and after much determination. She had a great sense of humor and over the years you could find her participating in water fights in the house or sneaking up to try to give you snorts on the neck. Her love for flowers, especially Lillies was shown with her joy in working in her flowers beds and working in the gardening department at Home Depot. She found amusement and laughter in watching funny animal videos, Mash, Andy Griffith, Cops and Hallmark. Other hobbies included playing games on her iPad, being a frog whisperer, watching birds, and crocheting. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Donald Webb and Marcia Savage. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Jason Lazenby (Michelle), and Lisa Parks. her brothers Larry Webb and Jerry Webb (Barb), her grandchildren; Preston Parks, Bailie Parks, Hunter Lazenby, Abagail Lazenby and her great-grandson, Fisher Lazenby; along with an extended family of multiple nieces and nephews, and her great aunt, Frances Whitehead. Pallbearers will be Jason Lazenby, Hunter Lazenby, Preston Parks, Julian Lazenby, Ronnie Lazenby and Brian Martin.
