Hephzibah, GA – In Loving Memory of Peggy Fulcher It is with deep sorrow, we share the news of Peggy O. Fulcher’s passing. As a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love profoundly touched everyone around her. Born Peggy O’Neal Douglas in 1938 to Alberta and David Douglas, of Eastman GA. She was the youngest of 6 children. Peggy’s caring nature left an enduring impact—whether through her infectious laughter, wise advice, or quiet acts of generosity. She was devoted to her family and friends, making lasting memories that will continue to inspire and comfort those who knew her. Some of her favorite pastimes included dancing in her younger years, dining out, and enjoying slot machines at casinos. In addition to raising a family, she worked alongside her husband at Fulcher’s Shell and Fulcher’s Texaco where she could be seen washing windshields, pumping gas and enjoying her customers. Later in life she worked at Fulcher’s Paint and Body. She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-seven years, Bobby G. Fulcher; her children Terri Lucas (David), Jacki Fulcher, and Todd Fulcher. Grandchildren Jennifer Rice (Bryan), Mandy Cadle (Ben), David Lucas II, Megan Lucas, Lauren Eltzroth (Robert), Kayla Arelanes (Oscar), Morgan Fulcher (David), and Todd Fulcher Jr.,; great-grandchildren JT Taylor (Kristen), Jaycey Taylor (Nathan), Andrew Lucas (Bailey), Madison Person, Remi Elzroth, Bryson Rice, Thomas Cadle, Luka Arellanes, and Ezzra Arellanes; and great-great-grandchildren Jax and Rosalie Taylor. She is preceded in death by her beloved son Bobby Fulcher Jr. A memorial service will honor Peggy’s life on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, with Reverend Mark T. Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at Hephzibah-Vance Cemetery in Hephzibah, GA. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service. All are welcome to attend, celebrate her memory, and share in the joy of having known such a remarkable person. Pallbearers include Bryan Rice, David Lucas II, JT Taylor, Todd Fulcher Jr., Andrew Lucas, Nathan McGhee, Oscar Arelanes, and Robert Eltzroth, with honorary pallbearers Ben Cadle, Andrew Williams, Mike King, Robert Buckwitz, Freddie Sanders, Mike Leonard, and Greg Coursey. The family kindly asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Hephzibah Methodist Church, PO Box 65, Hephzibah, GA 30815, in Peggy’s name.
