Linda Louise Heskamp

Linda Louise Heskamp (Aunt Linda) went home peacefully to be with the lord on Saturday May 2, 2026, in the comfort of her home. She was born in Louisville, KY on May 8, 1946. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling and spending her time around the water. She dedicated most of her professional career to helping others as an activity’s director for many nursing homes and teaching water aerobics to seniors. She was a long-time resident of Lincolnton, GA and called Clarks Hill Lake her home for many years before residing in Hephzibah, GA. Memorial service will be held from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 6 o’clock with Dr. Reverend Tomothy Pendrey officiating. Aunt Linda was a source of love and laughter and brought joy to anyone who was fortunate to know her. She was a deeply compassionate person who always put others before herself, her vibrant personality lit up every room she walked into. Above all she cherished her friends and family, and she made sure they knew it. Aunt Linda always had a camera in tow and handmade special scrap books for everyone to enjoy. She leaves behind her sister, Sandra Gray; niece, Deborah Tucker; nephew Gregory Gray; great-nieces Jennifer Tucker (Jeremy) and Ashley Chancey (Jamie); great-nephew Christopher Tucker and great-great nieces and nephews Marlie, Cohen, Gunner, Jaxson, Bryan, and Baylen and her best friend of many years Natalie Poole. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Alice and Clyde Heskamp; her nephew Alan Tucker and her brother-in-law’s Bama Gray and Gene Bowen. Though grief may feel endless, so too does love. The people we lose never truly leave us; they live on in our stories, our memories and the love we carry every single day. If there were no love, there would be no grief. And though it breaks us it is also the greatest reminder that we were blessed enough to love someone worth missing forever.
