Johnnie Eugene Pressley Augusta, GA – Johnnie Eugene Pressley, 79, loving husband of 54 years to Barbara Pressley, entered into rest on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Piedmont Augusta. Funeral services will be held at Fleming Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM with Reverend Tracy Pressley and Reverend Adam Hammond officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Pressley, son of the late Sidney Pressley and Dorothy Cantrell Pressley, was born in Augusta, GA. He graduated from Augusta College and went on to dedicate 32 years of service to J.A. Stafford Company before his retirement. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Johnnie was a faithful and active member of Fleming Baptist Church, where his love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, served as the foundation of his life. Over the years, he served as a deacon, taught in the youth department, volunteered with Vacation Bible School, and led the young adult ministry. A talented musician, Johnnie, also shared his gifts by playing the bass guitar for the praise team and singing in the church choir for many years. He enjoyed sharing his love of music and served as a music minister at various churches throughout the years. Above all, Johnnie absolutely adored his grandchildren. Whether he was teaching them how to fish, playing games, or simply enjoying their company at the lake house, the moments spent with them brought him his greatest joy. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his children, Jason Pressley (Jenny), Travis Pressley (Nikki), and Tracy Pressley (Denise); his cherished grandchildren, Colton, Emily, Sydney, Lily, Tucker, and Sadie Pressley; his sister, Dixie Schultz (Jim); brother and sister in law, Chuck and Jennifer Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Johnathan Wilson, Alan Schultz, Daniel Wilson, Chuck Wilson, Colton Pressley, Tucker Pressley, and John Hitchcock.
