In Loving Memory of Carol Dee Robertson McLaughlin August 2, 1951 – May 7, 2025 It is with deep sorrow and great love that we announce the passing of Carol Dee McLaughlin, born on August 2, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas. She departed this life peacefully on May 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and love. A service honoring her life will be held at Berean Baptist Church on 2385 Hwy 88, Hephzibah, GA 30815 at 1:00PM on May 10, 2025. Pastor Ron Roach and Pastor Jason Perry will be officiating. She was united in marriage to Terence J. McLaughlin on May 25, 1971, in Hohencken, Germany. Together they built a life anchored in faith, family, and dedication to education and community. A devoted educator and lifelong servant of Christ, she dedicated her career to teaching and guiding children through Christian education. Her teaching journey began at Calvary Baptist Christian School in Belgium (1983–1984), where she taught Kindergarten. She went on to inspire young minds as an English teacher at Victory Christian School in North Augusta, South Carolina (1988–1991). Her passion continued at Kassel Child Care (1996–1998), and at Story Mill Road Baptist and Christian School (1999–2005), where she taught Math and English and served as secretary. She later served as a Special Education substitute teacher in the Richmond County School System from 2006 to 2021. Her strength, compassion, and unwavering faith touched every person she met. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the countless lives she influenced. She was a beloved mother to Terence J. McLaughlin Jr (Angel). and Michelle A. McLaughlin Bannister (Rick). Her joy multiplied with her grandchildren—Georgia McLaughlin Flynn (James), Logan Young, TJ McLaughlin ((Amber), Brooke Young, and Brittany McLaughlin—and her great-grandchildren: Adilynn, Easton, Lucas, Paislee, Asher, Connor, Elena, River, Bryleigh, and Bailynn.
