Hephzibah, GA – Brad Lillard, 78 , loving husband of Marie Todd Lillard, entered into rest on Monday, July 21, 2025, at his residence. Funeral Services will be held from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 11:00 o’clock with Pastor David Bohling officiating. Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Liberty Methodist Church Cemetery, Hephzibah, Georgia. Mr. Lillard, son of the late Zula L. Bryson, was born in Washington, DC. Mr. Lillard attended Butler High School. Afterwards he joined the military, where he honorably served for twenty-five years with the US Navy Reserve, serving in the Vietnam war, receiving numerous medals and accommodations. He then worked and retired from Gracewood State School and Hospital from 1985 to 2010. Brad’s biggest joy was his family and friends. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending nights at his hunting club. He also had a green thumb and loved gardening and sharing his crops with his family and friends. Brad was a member of Fleming Masonic Lodge #718, a past Master at the Fleming Masonic Lodge and past Master of the 10th Masonic District. He was also a member of Liberty Methodist Church. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Mason Tucker Smith, sons-in-law, Lee Smith and Glenn Sammons, Sr. In addition to his wife, Marie of 55 years he is survived by his daughters, Katie Lillard Smith, McRae, GA, Amber Lillard Sammons (Craig), Hephzibah, GA; grandsons, Robert Lillard (Kristy), North Augusta, SC, and granddaughters, Jaime Mullis (Josh), Augusta, GA, Molli Lillard, Hephzibah, GA; great-grandsons, Robert Lillard Jr, North Augusta, SC, Jensen and Brayton Mullis, Augusta GA, Curtis and Derek Orzechowski, North Augusta, SC; great-granddaughter, Emma Mullis, Augusta GA; sister-in-law, Nancy Fuller (Johnny); brother-in-law, Ricky Todd (Denea); numerous nieces and nephews; last but not least, his faithful cat, Toby. His special friends, Ray and Billie Disher, Wayne and Kathy Collins, James Paul. The pallbearers will be Robert Lillard, Josh Mullis, Robert Lillard Jr, Curtis Orzechowski, Derek Orzechowski, Craig Daniels. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Disher, James Paul, Wayne Collins, and members of Fleming Masonic Lodge #718.
