Augusta, GA - Donna K. Woods, 79, wife of the late Thomas Woods, entered into rest Monday, February 15, 2021. Services were held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Mrs. Woods, daughter of the late Doris Herron Smith and Carl Smith, was born in Sparta, IL, and retired from Skinner Mill Self Storage. She was of the Presbyterian faith. She believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and He was her Savior and it is her hope that her entire family will accept Him into their heart so that they can be together in glory. She loved shopping all year long buying Christmas presents for her family. Nothing made her happier than to have her family together under one roof. You see, she has a big family and they all loved her so much. It will always bring a smile to all of our faces at Christmas to remember Ma (that is what all the grandchildren called her). She would have a huge pile of presents to hand out. It took several people to bring them into our brother and sister in law's house (Larry and Beth Woods). She would always make sure there was food and drinks for everyone to enjoy. Then, her 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren would open presents and make a huge mess. It was so worth it to see our Mom light up with joy. Once the new year would start, she would start shopping for the next Christmas. She has a dear family in the Lexington, Sc area that she was very close to. Emory Fullington and his family, Heather, Haley, Jesel, and David. They will miss her and look forward to seeing her in Heaven. She was survived by her brother and sister in law, Phil and Betty Smith of the Villages Florida. She had four children, Larry and Beth Woods of Augusta Ga, Jerry and Pam Woods of Eatonton, Ga, Lisa and Jim Jenkins of Keysville, Ga and Greg and Kelly Woods of Augusta, Ga. She has 19 grandchildren, April and Hauks Kaniho, Cindy Woods, Stacey Hardin, Dusty Woods, Cody Woods, Caci Woods and Mark, Alyssa Fesler, Rachel and Eric Anderson, Sarah (Moriya) Woods, Wolfe Thomas, Sommer Henon, Tommy Boudreaux, Jake Jenkins, Andrew Jenkins, Heather and Tyler (Tank) Russell, Nicholas Woods,Willow Morgan, Rivers Woods, and Sky Woods.18 great grandchildren Devin Burgess, Elijah Kaniho, Kayleigh Kaniho, Haux Kaniho, Dalton Thompson, Autumn Woods, Katelyn Hardin, Hailey Hardin, Paizley Weeks, Cohen Weeks, Laiyani Boyd, Ti'Liyah Scott, Abigail Fesler, Ezra Fesler, Prestlyn McDaniel, Bentyn Jenkins, Zaylee Woods and Millie Burch. Special Thank you to: Greg and Kelly Woods for their never ending work and love for our Mom in the final year of her life. Helping Hands Hospice for providing comfort and care for our Mother.
