Carolyn Roberts Mason

Mrs. Carolyn Joyce Roberts Mason, age 78, of, Hephzibah, Georgia, entered into her eternal rest on Saturday evening, June 11, 2022, at the Grand Strand Hospital in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was the loving wife of Jack Mason Sr. for 59 years. Mrs. Mason was born on February 26, 1944, in Augusta, Georgia. She is survived by her husband Jack Tarlton Mason Sr.; her daughter and son-in-law Kimberly Mason Threet and Stephen Threet of North Augusta, SC; her son and daughter-in-law Jack Tarlton Mason Jr., and Susan Lollis Mason of Hephzibah. GA; and her son Travis Kevin Mason of Hephzibah, Ga. She is also survived her youngest sister Brenda R. Frommer of Aiken, SC. Mrs. Mason was blessed with and is survived by six grandchildren (and their spouses), Stephanie Threet Burton (Jeremy Burton), Trevor Ryan Threet (Genni Lib Threet), Jared Travis Mason (Britani Mason), Michael Zachery Mason (Triston Mason), Jordan Paul Mason (Emily Mason), Elijah Cole Mason (Cayla Mason). Mrs. Mason was also survived by seven great grandchildren, Connor Jeremy Burton, Chase Stephen Burton, Chesney Brooke Burton, Jensen Harper Mason, Stalvey Ryan Threet, Bethany Faye Mason, and David Douglas Threet. Mrs. Mason was a long time and career employee of the Bell South/AT&T Company where she worked for over thirty years. The majority of these years were spent in the Augusta/CSRA area. She happily retired in 1996, and after which she focused her time on her loving and growing family, her Christian faith and her love of travel. She and her long-time traveling companion and devoted husband have visited all 50 States, the country of Israel and many countries of Europe. Mrs. Mason is preceded in death her parents Herschel F. and Veona Smoak Roberts, and her brothers Kenneth Herschell Roberts, Billy LaVerne Roberts, Ronald Roberts, Wayne Milford Roberts, Gerald Lewis Roberts, Charles Finley Roberts, Marion Leon Roberts and her sister Joann Roberts Dowds. Pallbearers will be Jack Mason ll., Travis Mason, Trevor Threet, Jared Mason, Zack Mason, Jordan Mason, Elijah Mason, Jaythan Smith and Jeremy Burton. Honorary Pallbearers are Stephen Threet, Connor Burton, and Chase Burton. Visitation will be on Wednesday night, June 15, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, at the Chance and Hydrick Funeral Home in Augusta, Ga. The funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 16, 2022, also at Chance and Hydrick Funeral Home. Pastors Randy Byrd, Mary Byrd and Douglas Oxford of the Bible Fellowship Church, of Augusta, Ga will preside over the services celebrating the life of Carolyn Joyce Roberts Mason.
