Louis P. Lamb

Augusta, GA – Louis P. Lamb , 85, husband of Lillian Byrns Lamb, entered into rest Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the residence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Dr. Ron McMillian and Reverend Kenneth Garvin officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Mr. Lamb was born in Edgehill to the late Russell and Thelma Cooper Lamb. He retired from Proctor & Gamble and was a Charter member of Open Door Baptist Church. He coached little league baseball and loved to work with his hands.

Other survivors include his sons, L. Randall Lamb (Peggy) of Evans, Rusty Lamb (Leah) of Augusta, David Pulliam (Ernestine) of Greensboro, NC and Wayne Pulliam (Nancy) of Augusta; brothers, Joe Lamb (Renee’) of Aiken, Robert Lamb (Frankie) of Augusta and Gene Lamb (Karen) of Augusta; sisters, Pasty Poss (John) of Thomson and Katherine English (Joel) of Augusta; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations made to Open Door Baptist Church 2629 Barton Chapel Road Augusta, GA 30906.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home.

  2. My wonderful Uncle Louis was a great inspiration to me and my daughters! He was a great, generous man with a huge heart that will be dearly missed. I always enjoyed the wonderful times and memories I was able to share with Uncle Louis and Aunt Lillian! My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family!
