Lewis Trout, Jr
Hephzibah, GA – Lewis Trout, Jr, 82, husband of Glenda Trout, entered into rest Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at the Charles Norwood VA Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Kevin Townes officiating.
Interment will follow in Hephzibah-Vance Cemetery, 4789 Windsor Spring Rd, Hephzibah.
Mr. Trout, son of the late Madeline Shubert Trout and Lewis Trout, Sr, was born in Paulsboro, NJ, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired as a Lieutenant from the Augusta Police Department after 30 years of service, and then worked as a meat-cutter for Sam’s Club. He was a member of Whispering Pines Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Lee Trout.
In addiition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Stephen Trout, Jason Trout (Carol), Michael Trout (Sabrine), Hope Trout, and Kathleen Ford; his grandchildren, Aaron Meuse, Samuel Poitra, Conner Poitra, Jaydon Mosby, Matthew Ford, Michael John Trout, Summer Trout, Olivia Trout, and Emily Poitra; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Trout, Jason Trout, Michael Trout, Christopher Hollis, Wayne Hollis, Michael Smith, Patrick Woodworth, and Matthew Ford.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
