Lawrence Thomas Lamb, Jr.

Hephzibah, GA – Lawrence Thomas Lamb, Jr., Commander of the Sons of the American Legion Post 178, age 68, passed in peace on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

Memorial services will be held Monday, December 28, 2020, at 12:00 noon, from Lumpkin Road Baptist Church with Reverend Don Stone officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until the hour of service at the church.

Tom was an electrician for over 40 years and retired from the IBEW Local 1579. He’s also a cancer survivor. His passion was being at the American Legion, preparing and cooking for Friday night steak dinners, helping raise money for the annual cancer walk that he participated in every year, and helping those he loved and cared so much for. He also loved to play golf.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Lamb and Christine Lamb; and by his sisters Linda Videtto and Sheryl Timm.

He is survived by his wife Martha Lamb; Children William Watson (Debra), Carla Taylor (Ray), Tommy Lamb, Michelle Lamb (David), Michael Lamb (Karen); Sister Sandra Stewart (DS); as well as several grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Legion, or to the American Cancer Society.
