Katie Clark Rabun

Augusta, GA – Katie Clark Rabun, 86, beloved wife of the late Carl Davis Rabun, entered into rest on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Univeristy Extended Care Westwood.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors this Monday, January 23, 2017, at 2:00 P.M., with the Pastor Charlie Rector officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Rabun, a native of Wrens, was a longtime resident of the Augusta area and was the daughter of the late John and Sara Mozelle Clark. She was retired as a bookkeeper having worked at University Hospital and for Owens & Minor. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved playing cards with her friends and neighbors and who loved to cook. She was a member of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Women’s Ministry.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Larry Wooten; her son, Clark Davis Rabun; her grandchildren and their spouses, Keri Beth and Robert D. Brown, Kimberly and Matthew Deufel, Clayton Davis Rabun and Savannah Elizabeth Rabun; and her great-grandchildren, Davis Brown, Anna Elizabeth Brown and Taylor Deufel.

Mrs. Rabun’s family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Westwood Extended Care Facility for their loving care and concern.

The family will receive friends this Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
