  1. Dear Monica and Charlie,
my heartfelt sympathy to you and your loved ones on the loss of your dear mother, who has been so devoted to all of you throughout your lives. She is now reunited with her life’s companion and best friend, Herbie. Maybe she never quite recovered from losing him so unexpectedly.

The “tolle Lola”, as she was known in our German Club, had a long, interesting life on two continents and always had riveting stories to tell.
It is my hope that she wrote some of them down for you and your family to remember her by. She was definitely a very unique human being and will be missed by all, who have gotten to know and love her over many decades.
I am saddened by her passing, but will always cherish her memory.

You are in my thoughts and prayers,
    Evelyn Alberts

  2. Our sincere sympathy. It was a pleasure knowing your mom. Loved her stories and great love she had for her family. We had some fun times together, the short time that I was able to spend with her. One cool memory was when we were playing her old records and both of us were dancing….hilarious!!! She was so young at heart. Take care and we wish you and your family only the very best.
