Joyce James Quattlebaum

Augusta, GA – Joyce James Quattlebaum, 75, wife of the late Julian Phillip Quattlebaum, entered into rest Monday, January 2, 2023, at Piedmont Hospital of Augusta.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 o’clock from Mount Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, Hephzibah, GA on Friday, January 6, 2023, with Pastor Wayne Todd officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 -10:30 AM at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mrs. Quattlebaum, daughter of the late Mary Rowland James and Vernon E. James was born in Augusta, GA.  She was a Master Cosmetologist working out of her home for over 40 years. She was a member of Miracle Baptist Church. She loved her family and making memories with them all especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Phillip James, Kevin James, Donna Shea, David James, Tammy Holmes and Sandra McDonald.

She is survived by her children, Patsy Huggins and Ronald Craig Waits; her stepchildren, Julian P. Quattlebaum Jr. (Tina) and Elizabeth Cook (Bossy); her grandchildren, Brooke Broxton (Cameron), Blake Williamson (Mollie), Fallon McClain (Flint), Craig Joseph Waits (Nicole), Hailey Waits, Landon Waits, and Julian Phillip Quattlebaum III (Julie); her ten great-grandchildren; her siblings, Kenneth James (Paulette), Byron James (Susan), Chris James (Susan), Ted James (Christy), Sally Britt, and Nancy Todd (Wayne), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Broxton, Flint McClain, Blake Williamson, Landon Waits, Russell Henderson, and Randy Henderson.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Craig Joseph Waits.

  1. My loving gran, you were such a beautiful person inside and out. You had grit and means, you always meant business! You were one of a kind, I will miss you so much and all your phone calls. I know you are happy to be back with papa as you two are about to celebrate your anniversary and now yall will never miss one and will always be together. You meant so much to me and i will forever be grateful for the love and care you showed me. I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER GRAN, GOD REST YOUR BEAUTIFUL SOUL.
