John “Jon Jon” A. Rosier III

Hephzibah, GA – John “Jon Jon” A. Rosier, III, 44, husband of Sandi Rosier, entered into rest Thursday, October 15, 2015.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 19, 2015, at 2:00 PM, from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with his uncle Harry Coursey and his grandfather Jimmy Smith officiating.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Rosier, son of John A. Rosier, Jr, and Carla Smith Rosier, of Hephzibah, was a native of Augusta. He was a welder with Local Union #150 and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his son Hunter C. Rosier, of Hephzibah; his stepdaughter, Samantha Boatwright, of Aiken; his half sister, Kelley Rosier Clayton, of Las Vegas, NV; his maternal grandfather, Jimmy Smith (Beth), of Hephzibah; his uncles, Chuck Smith (Betty), of Evans, and Darren Smith (Kathy), of Hephzibah; his aunts Connie Coursey (Harry), of Midway, GA, and Sandra Saul (Dick), of Evans; his nephew, Nicholas Smith, of Hephzibah; his mother in law, Susie Hutson, of North Augusta; his sister in law, Ashley Warren, of North Augusta; his brother in law, Billy Frashuer, of New Ellenton; and numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends.

Active Pallbearers, Chuck Smith, Darren Smith, Burt Quattlebaum, Jay Quattlebaum, Johnny Quattlebaum, Nick Smith, David Murrah, Scott Smith and Mike Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bubba O’Tyson, Clint Smith, Billy Frashuer, Michael Tharpe,Rory Lafontaine, Trey Coursey , Buckshot Miles and members of the Local Union # 150.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 18, 2015, from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

  1. It’s just too hard to comprehend. I still remember Booker and Jon Jon and I hanging together back in high school. Rest John! May his family find peace through God.
