Jimmy L. Neville, Sr

Hephzibah, GA – Jimmy L. Neville, Sr, 80, husband of the late JoAnne Marks Neville, entered into rest Thursday, April 28, 2016, at University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016, at 4:00 PM from Hephzibah Baptist Church with Reverend Gary McWhorter officiating. He will lie in state from 3:00 PM until the hour of service.

Interment will follow in Brothersville Cemetery, Mims Rd, Hephzibah.

Mr. Neville, son of the late Thomas Lloyd and Dora Ruth Crawford Neville, was a native of Richmond County. He served in the United States Army and retired as Laundry Service Manager from Gracewood State School and Hospital. He was a member of Hephzibah United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his sons, Jimbo Neville (Lauren), of Keysville, Mark Neville (Teleen), and Todd Neville (Angie), both of Hephzibah; his daughter Lynn Neville (friend, Allison English), of Evans; his brother Johnny Neville (Ellen), of Leander, TX; his sister, Jane Lamb (James), of Augusta; his loving companion, Jerri Hunnicutt, of Keysville; his grandchildren, Jessica Yoder (Shelly), of Hephzibah, Jancy Lewis (Aaron), of Augusta, Tessa Woods (Tommy), of Grovetown, and Jeffrey Neville, Payton Neville, Jacob Neville, and Tyler Neville, all of Hephzibah; his great grandchildren, Dawson Yoder, of Hephzibah, and Mason Woods, of Grovetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ed Gilliland, Allen Saxon, Irish Neville, Bill Marks, Trent Marks, Derek Partridge, Paul Williams, and John Osborn.

If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Hephzibah United Methodist Church, 4431 Brothersville Rd, Hephzibah, GA 30815.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

  1. We are so sorry we will not be able to attend the visitation or the funeral. We are out of town, Bilouxi, Mississippi for another funeral to be held tomorrow. We both thought so much of Jimmy he was a special man. Our love to all the family.

  2. Family, so saddened to here the news of Jimmy. He will always be remembered by me as a loving dad who was always by his children’s side. He brightened my day to see him at the ball field all the time in my younger days. He will be greatly missed on earth but we will celebrate again in heaven.

  3. Praying for the family…We loved Jimmy and remember the great times when he worked for us at Hephzibah Hardware and Garden Supply.
