Jerad W. Meriweather

Grovetown, GA – Jerad W. Meriweather, 13, son of Gerald Antonio and Stephanie New Meriweather, entered into rest Friday, January 18, 2013.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors.
Mr. Meriweather was born in Augusta and was an honor student at Grovetown Middle School. He was a member of The Church of God Holiness Tabernacle.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Gerald Jones, of Augusta, Justin New, of Grovetown, Lawrence Wigfall, of North Augusta, and Taurus Lowe of California; his sister, Lisa Wigfall, of North Augusta; his maternal grandparents,Tambra and John New; his paternal grandfather, George Meriweather, and paternal grandmother, Alexzine Freeman, all of Augusta; his godparents, Rich and Julia Goode, of San Antonio, TX, and Wanda Curry of Columbia, SC; several aunts, uncles, other relatives; and many loving friends.
If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Jerad Meriweather Foundation, 546 Jackson St, Grovetown, GA 30813.
There will be a candlelight vigil held in Jerad’s honor on Thursday, January 24, 2013, from 6:30 until 7:30 PM at 546 Jackson St, Grovetown, GA 30813.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 25, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

  1. I remeber when we wre in fifth grade we just alike because people called me fat and I would come home crying but u we stand up for me.we would jump rope together because we were friends.we got spread apart because I had a different classes then U . U and Kristin are in my heart.

  4. Our family and church, God’s Will & Grace Outreach (Pastor Timothy Williams), extend our helping hands in any way. Our nephew (Eric) attended school with Jerad. I was informed that he was a great child. I thank God for all of the community supporting in these times. I pray that everyone continues with this uspport as the times and seasons of life change.
