Jencie Casella Hargrove

Evans, GA – Jencie Casella Hargrove, 74, beloved wife of fifty years to the late Phil Andrew  Hargrove, Sr., entered into rest on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Augusta University Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Memorial services will be held from Riverview Church, 1244 Furys Ferry Road, Evans, GA, on Thursday, Januay 5, 2023, at 12:00 P..M., with Pastor Mark Maund officiating. The family will visit with friends from 11:00 until the hour of the service in the fellowship hall.

Jencie was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta and the daughter of the late Vincent and Martha Holley Casella. She attended Sacred Heart and Aquinas Schools, enjoyed traveling, mountains, cooking for her family and her King Charles Cavaliers, Parker and Charlie. She had been a longtime member of St. John United Methodist Church and was a current member of Riverview Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hargrove was preceded in death by her sister, Rosemarie Casella Hydrick; and her grandson, Chad Andrew Hargrove.

Survivors include her children, James Charles “Jamey” Hargrove and his wife Denise, William Joseph “Billy” Hargrove and his wife Candace, Vincent Philip “Vince” Hargrove, and Philip Andrew Hargrove, Jr.; seven grandchildren, Alexa Hargrove, Mary Grason Hargrove, William Joseph “Will” Hargrove, Jr. and his wife Victoria, Lauren Pettyjohn, Holley Hargrove, Reagan Hargrove, and Peyton Hargrove; as well as four great grandchildren.

If desired, the family suggests memorials be made to Riverview Church, 1244 Furys Ferry Road, Evans, GA 30809.

  3. Ron and I were so very sorry to hear of Jencie’s passing. I always enjoyed catching up when we would run into one another around town. She is now reunited with her beloved Phil and Chad. Prayers to the family.
