Jeanie Brandon

Evans, GA – Jeanie Brandon, 73, wife of Robert William Brandon, entered into rest Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at University Hospital.

Memorial services will be held Monday, January 14, 2019, at 2:00 PM from Wesley United Methodist Church, 825 N Belair Rd, Evans, with Reverend Greg Porterfield officiating. 

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Journeys Sunday School Class and the Adult Choir.

Mrs. Brandon, daughter of the late Mattie Mae Moore Martin and Lewis Franklin Card Martin, grew up in Knoxville and Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated with the highest honors from the University of Tennessee in 1967.  In her youth she was a competitive water-skier and continued to enjoy water sports throughout her adult life. After marrying Bob, she lived in Switzerland and Belgium and raised her family in Pittsburgh, PA, before moving to Augusta in 1989.  She was a charter member of Wesley UMC where she sang in the choir, attended the Journeys Sunday School class, and actively volunteered. Jeanie was a master gardener and took great joy in nurturing a beautiful landscape year-round.  She volunteered and worked on staff at the Ronald McDonald House.  An enthusiastic traveler, with her husband she visited over 45 countries on 5 continents.  Last year she and Bob were able to return to their favorite destinations in Switzerland.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Jeffrey Martin Brandon; her daughter, Laura Michele Brandon; and 6 grandchildren.
