James “Jim” Schoolfield

Augusta, GA – James “Jim” Schoolfield, husband of Lynn Holley Schoolfield of Rosewood Dr., entered into rest Friday, April 2, 2010, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 5, 2010, at 2:00 P.M., from the graveside in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Dr. Kevin J. Steele officiating. Family and friend should assemble at the graveside.
Mr. Schoolfield, a native of Greensboro, NC, was a lifelong resident of Augusta and a life long member of National Hills Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Bill Forsythe Schoolfield, Sr. He had retired as an Assistant Manager from Sherwin-Williams Paint. Mr. Jim enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, family gatherings and working.
In addtion to his wife Mr. Schoolfield is survived by his mother Forest McDonald Schoolfield of Augusta; his sons, Jason P. Schoolfield of North Augusta and Paul Larkin of Augusta; his daughter and son-in-law, Cara and Robert Rolen of Augusta; his brother, Bill Forsythe Schoolfield, Jr.; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy and Buster Silman and Sherry and David Elijah all of Evans; grandchildren, Zachary Schoolfield, Hannah Rolen and Tyler Rolen; and grandchild number four on the way, Carter James Schoolfield; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Former co-workers of Sherwin-Williams are asked to serve as honorary pallbearers and should assemble at the grave.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

  1. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I attended high school with “Jimmy” (as we called him) at Westside High School. He was a great friend throughout all my years there. He was a wonderful person and I know he will be missed by all of his family.
