Bennettsville, SC – James Bartley Hinson, 31, entered into rest Monday, November 26, 2018 at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday, December 1, 2018 in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Mr. Joshua Hinson officiating. Interment will be private.
He was born in Newberry, SC and worked for FPL Food. James was a joyous, energetic and courageous young man. Hard-headed at times but it was something that worked for him. He loved deeply, especially his family. No matter what was going on, if you called him he’d be there. No questions asked. His selflessness was always something that strengthened our family because he was always providing help. His love didn’t stop there. He grew up with a tight-knit group of guys. Those friends meant everything to him. Lastly, one thing that defined James at a young age was his love for “the ladies.” His charm, boyish good looks and Hollywood smile would help him in that matter. Lastly, he was a certified welder and wanted to pursue that career field once he was released
Survivors include his parents, Gary and Carolyn Glenn Hinson; his siblings, Kristi James, Christopher Hinson, Joshua Hinson, Cynthia Hinson and Elizabeth Hinson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
