James Edward Freeman
Hephzibah, GA – James Edward Freeman, 61, husband of the late Debra Leedom-Freeman, entered into rest Sunday, February 9, 2020, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held Monday, February 17, 2020, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Pastor David Martin officiating.
Mr. Freeman, son of the late Sarah Wooten Freeman and James Henry Freeman, was born in Ennis, Texas. He was an L1 Certified Master Automotive Technician and worked for Tires Plus for over ten years. He previously worked for Best Muffler. He was a die-hard Cowboys fan, and was loved and respected by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Syndi Moreno.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie Elaine Young (Joseph), James Edward Freeman, Jr., Elizabeth Nichole Leedom (Nicolas), and William Burt Leedom (Haley); the mother of his children, Louise Chalker (Richard); his grandchildren, Spencer Burton, Raven Burton, Jessi Burton, Michael “Little Man” Courtney, Mackenzie Courtney, Wyatt Leedom, Sawyer Ridge Leedom, Deliliah Young, and Grace Young; his great grandchildren, Bromekis Hudson and Amani Hudson; his fur children, Precious, Rocky, Lucky, Tigger, and Fish; his sisters, Sarah Parker (Jim Reaka), Zelda Freeman, and Tammy Freeman; his sister and brother in law, Natasha and Rod Martin; his mother in law, Dorothy L. Smith; his nieces and nephews, Haley Martin, Cheyenne Kersey, Anthony Bray, Phillip Thurston, Glenn Freeman, Renee Carlton, and Michelle Carlton; his great nieces, Cheyenne Lewellen and Brittany Bray; and his great great nieces, Chloe Lewellen and Savannah Bray.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 17, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
